It was the final flight of the “rocket man,” Mike Hughes. Moments after liftoff, his rocket plummeted to the earth, killing him instantly. ‘Mad Mike’ was a daredevil who believed the earth was flat and set out to prove it by building his own steam-powered rockets in his garage. He wanted to fly to the edge of space to see for himself. His first launch in 2018 was successful, but this time, something went terribly wrong.
